  • All classes must be paid online or by phone by 5 PM the day before class date.
  • Please no walk ins. Everyone must be registered prior to coming to class.
  • If you would like to attend a class being offered the same day please call us first to see if space available.
  • If you are registering for a renewal class, your current card MUST not be EXPIRED. Please bring a copy of your unexpired card to class. If your card is expired, you must pay for an initial class.
  • All sales are final, and there are no refunds. You may reschedule your class with a different date, if you are unable to attend the class that you are registering for.

Who We Are

South Florida Health Care Institute is a provider of healthcare training programs for beginners and advanced level students in the areas of First Aid, CPR and other life-saving techniques. We offer same day certification, as well as small class sizes in a stress-free learning environment.

Heartsaver Basic CPR/AED Course - $51

The Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED Course - $70

This course teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED Course - $75

This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers the Four Steps of Pediatric First Aid and modules in Pediatric First Aid, Child/Infant CPR AED, Adult CPR AED, and Asthma Care Training.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - $65 Initial Course - $40 Renewal Course (unexpired card)

This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Initial - $175 Renewal Course (unexpired card) - $120

This course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Initial - $175 Renewal Course (unexpired card) - $120

This course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children.
