Admission Requirements:
To be admitted into our Practical Nursing program, applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED. The admission process includes meeting with our Nursing Program Director, submitting a completed Practical Nursing Application Packet, and passing the HESI Entrance Exam with a minimum score of 75%. Additionally, candidates must clear a FDLE Level II Background Check, provide negative drug test results, and comply with all immunization and physical exam requirements to ensure they are fully prepared for the challenges of a nursing career.

Program Length: 1350 Hours (12 months full-time)
Delivery Method: Traditional – 100% classroom based
Days & Times:
Full-time: Monday – Wednesday | 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Additional Skills Covered:
Our program goes beyond the basics, equipping students with various skills, including administering medications, understanding anatomy and physiology, practicing aseptic technique and infection control procedures, providing care to diverse patient populations, and more. From CPR and response to emergency situations to legal and ethical responsibilities, our curriculum is designed to prepare students for the dynamic healthcare landscape.
Practical Nursing (LPN) Program Outline:

Program Objective

  • Demonstrate behaviors that comply with rules and statutes set forth in the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Florida.
  • Apply nursing principles to meet the daily physical, social, and psychological needs of the patient.
  • Perform nursing measures with accuracy, safety, and efficiency, consistent with current nursing concepts and practices in different healthcare settings.
  • Function as a responsible member of the nursing team concerned with basic therapeutic, rehabilitative, and preventative care for persons of all ages and diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrate professional competencies consistent with the practical nursing code of ethics.
  • Demonstrate appropriate employability skills.
