Students are encouraged to learn life-saving skills individually then adjust accordingly when working with a team. Simulations are provided to object the student to different cases and scenarios which will make them adept in handling emergency medical situations. These simulations include concepts such as;

  • basic life support care
  • cardiac arrest management
  • recognition and early management initiation for peri-conditions
  • ischemic chest pain and coronary syndrome identification and treatment
  • effective team interaction
  • identification of life-threatening conditions in order to administer initial care

Similar to other classes and courses students have a classroom-based education taught by an instructor with videos and skills as teaching aides. Throughout the training, students are required to participate in clinical cases. At the end of the course, a written examination is conducted which will gauge the student’s knowledge and acquire skills during the training. After having completed these, the students will be given their certification.
